Vanadzor's Branch of National Aesthetic Center
Nearly 20 years ago, in 1984 the chief headmaster of Armenian Aesthetic
Center, crafts-man
Henrik Igityan by his own efforts opened the Vanadzor's Branch of
National Aesthetic Center. By
its activity the Aesthetic Center developes the youth's creative
abilities, accomplishes their
capabillities, gives children wide opportunity to think and to create.
By the efforts of the Aesthetic Center children's works are gathered,
arranged, preserved,
exhibited and valued.
Nearly 350 children a year attend this center.
The activity of Vanadzor's Aesthetic Center is not limited only by
exhibitions, various events
and festivals, like children's theatrical performances, personal
exhibitions, competitions of
chalk-paintings, presentations of books, meetings with the greatest men
of art are being organized
frequently. The Aesthetic Center is also an active participant in city's
cultural life. The pupils
of this center have participate in city, republican and international
competitions for several
times and have be announced to be winners.
Today the Aesthetic Center has various educational clubs-such as
portrayal, gobelen, rug and
carpet making, piano and vocal clubs, national song, national and modern
dances, where children
from the age of 3 to 16 are studying.
The educational program in the Aesthetic Center is realized by
specialized-pedagogues, that have
special education and great work experience. The mission of our
pedagogues is to respect
children, to create appropriate circumstances for developing their
independent thinking and
creative abilities. It is not necessary for our pupils to become crafts-men,
but by communicating
with the beauty they will certainly become educated people. They beauty
will accompany them in
their whole life.
It's a pity, but it's a fact, besides having interesting and contented
life, the Aesthetic Center
has main problems that is the absence of properties, creative materials,
techniques, need of being
repaired and so on. To overcome these temporal difficulties and to
organize further teaching
process proparly the Center needs donors who will sponsor the further
activities.
