THE POLITICAL SYSTEM

Republic of Armenia - sovereign, democratic, social, rule-of-law state. Authority in the republic of Armenia belongs to people. Its government by the people achieves by means of the free elections, the referenduies, and also through the public bodies provided by constitution, the organs of local self-guidance and officials. Power of the state is achieved in accordance with the constitution and the laws - on the basis of the principle of the separation of legislative, executive and judicial authorities.
