STRIKERS ARE FORBIDDEN TO CHANT “LEVON” AFTER 10

Sit-down strikers have been forbidden to sing or vociferate in Northern Avenue after 10 p.m. Yesterday evening after long talks with police officers member of the Armenian National Congress Levon Zurabian urged the sit-down strikers to obey the police order stipulated by the Administrative Code.

At first the police ordered “to keep silent” after 8 p.m. After the strikers asked for the legal document confirming their demand the police suddenly remembered that the law prohibits making a noise after 10 p.m.

Strangely though it may seem the police seem to forget about the law in other cases, for instance, loud music is heard in capital cafes even after midnight.
